Operations on the Ethereum mainnet grew 23% in six months.

Base, Arbitrum and Soneium concentrated the majority of transactions during October.
The Ethereum ecosystem recorded the highest monthly transaction volume in its history in October.
According to the data, between the base layer and the second layers (L2) processed more than 817 million operationssurpassing its previous marks and accumulating six consecutive months in this trend.
This evolution can be seen in the following image (right graph):
During the last 30 days, there were three leading networks. In principle, Base, the most operated L2 of the entire ecosystem, was the most active chain, with 323 million transactionsalthough its volume fell 7.4% compared to the previous month.
Despite this slight decrease, in the last six months it accumulated a growth of 57%, which reflects its consolidation as one of the most used chains within the Ethereum ecosystem.
Next is Arbitrum One, another recognized L2, which recorded 93.1 million operations. Its activity increased 24% monthly and 80% in the semester.
For its part, and in third place, Soneium, the network created by Sony, reached 66.3 million transactions, with a monthly increase of 38% and growth accumulated 110% in the last six months.
Ultimately, Ethereum’s main layer processed 44.2 million operations. Although its volume decreased by 6.4% in the month, maintains a positive trend of 23% in the semesterconsolidating the general activity of the ecosystem.
