Raúl SuárezCEO of Nedgia, the Group of Grupo Naturgy, has delivered to Juan José CercadilloPresident of Hercessa, promoter of reference at the national level and with presence in eight countries, of recognition for the historical collaboration of both companies that has allowed the use of gas to the new promotions of the real estate group.
Nedgia and Hercessa have maintained an alliance for more than 50 years to boost gas penetration in homes in the past, and to facilitate the arrival of green gas to the final consumer today, thus contributing to the energy transition by accelerating the decarbonization of the housing park efficiently. The real estate group gives its new promotions the necessary elements for the consumption of natural gas in homes.
The collaboration between both companies allows to provide greater reliability and flexibility to the energy system through renewable gases, contributing to favoring foreign energy independence, as well as promoting energy solutions that help the development of the circular economy. Green gas is called to play a key role in being an available and more efficient solution than other alternatives linked to consumption electrification in the residential sector.

The agreement also includes advice by Nedgia in the different energy solutions provided by gas facilities: from hybridized gas condensation boiler facilities with solar panels, through hybridization with heat pump or even the use of gas heat pumps. In addition, these solutions are aligned with compliance with current legislation (CTE) and with the highest energy grades (AA). These solutions contribute to Hercessa a guarantee in the service to their customers, in addition to energy and economic savings, minimizing the after -sales.
Additionally, an important aspect that is highlighted in Hercessa’s promotions is its commitment to the future, since its buildings are prepared for green gas.
Nedgia maintains a committed commitment to renewable gases and their incorporation into the infrastructure of the gas system. Nedgia currently has eleven biomethane generation facilities connected to your network with a joint injection capacity of 306 GWh/year (consumption equivalent to 61,200 homes). In addition to the plants that are already operating and injecting renewable gas into the distribution network, it has 62 more facilities in the very advanced construction or administrative process with an injection capacity of 3,710 GWh/year that will connect to the Nedgia network soon (the equivalent of the consumption of 742,000 homes).
