Bitcoin arrives at the ethics and anti-corruption postgraduate course in El Salvador

The National Commission for Digital Assets (CNAD) of El Salvador reported that it trained students of the Postgraduate Program in Ethics, Integrity and the Fight against Corruption on bitcoin (BTC) and regulation of digital assets. This in alliance with the Government Ethics Court of the Central American country.

The day brought together more than 30 officials and professionals in an academic closing event where CNAD directors gave presentations and technical workshops, according to a statement.

“It is essential that public decision makers understand the ecosystem of digital assets and their regulation,” declared César Alejandro Córdova Figueroa, director of the CNAD, during the session.

Topics included authorization of Digital Asset Service Providers (PSAD), supervision, technological risks and the Salvadoran regulatory framework. Additionally, Sebastián Cordero, Director of Technology at CNAD, led a practical workshop on infrastructure for the use of digital assets and good technical practices.

“We want to strengthen capacities for ethical decisions in emerging technological environments,” said Carlos David Aguilar Cerna, also director of the CNAD.

Bitcoin education has also reached the graduate level in other higher education centers. For example, the University of Las Hespérides, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in Spain, carried out a postgraduate program in 2024. This was called: “University Bitcoin Specialist”, as reported by NoticiasVE.

This training, which was developed online, was designed by industry experts. This to provide professional skills in consulting with digital assets, market analysis, regulation and integration of bitcoin. The university emphasized, at the time, that it moved forward with the objective of going beyond price analysis. For this reason, he delved into the philosophy, history, regulation, taxation and self-custody of the asset.
