Sacyr has closed the sale of its entire interest in three concessions in Colombia to an entity controlled by Actis Long Life Infrastructure Fund 2. The three assets, which are in operation, are: Unión Vial Río Pamplonita (Pamplona-Cúcuta Highway), Desarrollo Vial al Mar (Autopista al Mar 1) and Concesionaria Vial Unión del Sur (Rumichaca Pasto Highway).
The operation, which was announced in June, amounts to a total amount of 1,565 million dollars including debt and equity.
With this operation, Sacyr demonstrates the value of its assets, since the sale amount is 12% higher than the valuation provided at Investor Day 2024.
This operation generates a very positive impact on the Cash Flow Statement of the company, due to the cash inflow of 332 million dollars.
Besides, Sacyr could receive variable amounts (earn-outs) valued at approximately 70 million dollarsbased on the success of several claims currently being managed, with a possible positive impact on the group’s accounting and treasury.
Accelerate growth
The divestment, framed in Sacyr’s usual asset rotation policy, strengthens the balance sheet to accelerate the growth plan of the company, which plans to multiply investment and asset value by three in 2033.
Furthermore, it is in line with the objective of balance geographically its current asset portfolio.
Presence in Colombia
Once the divestment in these three concession assets is completed, Sacyr maintains a presence in Colombia, through three assets: Puerta de Hierr Highwayor (in operation), Buenaventura-Loboguerrero-Buga Corridor and Recovery of the Degraded Ecosystems of the Canal del Diquethe last two in the development phase.
