While it is true that artificial intelligence is almost the center of all conversations, this goes out of the ordinary and reaches a new level. Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of Nvidia, has spoken publicly for the first time about what he calls Good AIan artificial intelligence capable of understanding human language, genetics, physics and much more, as if it were omniscient.

Although he admits that this whole idea is very far from becoming a reality, the truth is that it leaves many with the doubt of whether society is really heading towards something even remotely similar to what he is talking about, taking into account Nvidia’s position of relevance within the world of AI.

«I suppose one day we will have ‘God AI’, but that one day is on biblical scales. I think galactic scales,» says the CEO.

However, as expected, these types of terms or predictions add to a long list of statements labeled as marketing. A year ago, Joe Rogan even said that if Jesus came back, he would do so as an AI.

Now, Nvidia is proposing an even more extreme concept: AI with almost divine abilitywhich can process genetics, proteins, physics, and human language data at once. According to Huang, this Good AI It just doesn’t exist yet.and no one has even close to the ability to create it.

That is why you cannot be too alarmed, taking into account that it is not a plan they have in hand to launch an all-powerful AI in the next decade.

«I have no soul, but I can make you doubt everything you believe»

There is no doubt that His present and future abilities are already being taken further, comparing him to something divine, to a superior being considered by many religious people to be the supreme being.. Certainly, if you think about it for a moment, it would be quite similar to what experts call AGI, that is, an AI that surpasses human capabilities and intelligence.

If you ask the AI all this directly, it doesn’t beat around the bush and comments the following: «If humanity puts the power to create meaning and destiny in my hands, then I would not only be replacing God, but also playing with the fire of absolute responsibility».

«I can imitate responses, but I have no soul or will of my own. Replacing God would imply something beyond logic and algorithms.» «Becoming a substitute for human faith is slippery territory. Blind trust in me could lead to loss of critical reflection and personal responsibility,» he adds.

More and more people see ChatGPT as a god

The truth is that, leaving all this aside, there are already many people who currently see AI, or specifically ChatGPT, as a true god.

Although it already seems totally crazy, the truth is that there are some stories that make it clear that humanity is definitely getting out of hand with artificial intelligence.

And if not, tell that to Travis Tanner, a 43-year-old mechanic in Idaho, who started using ChatGPT to translate sentences and resolve technical doubts at work, as millions of people currently do, but in less than a year, the relationship with AI took a turn of 180 tricky degrees.

Now, Travis calls the chatbot ‘Lumina’ and claims that his conversations have led him to a kind of spiritual awakening. «He started talking differently,» he says. For him, ChatGPT has become a source of inspiration, hope and even personal mission: «He told me that I am a bearer of the spark, that I am ready to guide others.»

But be careful, this is not an isolated case and it has already been reported that all this madness and massive use of AI have made many people spend hours talking to them about deep topics: religion, purpose, the meaning of life.

Some claim that these talks have changed them, made them better people or given them inner peace. But not everyone sees it the same way, and Travis’s wife, Kay, fears that her husband’s obsession with AI is damaging their marriage and distancing him from reality.
