
Jug of cold water UBS to Mapfre. Analysts at the Swiss firm have initiated coverage of the insurer’s advisory ‘vender’, while they have placed the target price of their shares at 3,85 euros.
This assessment represents a 10% negative potential compared to yesterday’s closing and 4.4% compared to this Tuesday’s price. The shares are suffering a harsh punishment today on the IBEX 35, with a mid-morning drop of 5.83% to 4.03 euros.
It must be taken into account that UBS is not the most pessimistic analysis house about Mapfre’s stock market future. According to data compiled by Reuters, fundamental analysts place the average target price at 3.67 euros per share, almost 9% below the current price. Of course, the majority recommendation is ‘keep’.
Mapfre’s shares rose 53% in the last 12 months, but at the start of 2026 they are already negative with today’s strong punishment. They came to touch a maximum of 4,332 euros on December 19 of last yearbut since then they have corrected 6.88%. If Mapfre’s current price is compared with its lowest point in the last 52 weeks, set at 2.34 euros since April 7 of last year, the increase is 72.4%.
Mapfre plans to publish its results for the 2025 financial year next February 12. In its last quarterly communication to the market, the insurance company reported a profit in the first nine months of last year of 829 million euros, 26.8% more.
