Previously, the Asian country has impressed the world with advances in drone artificial intelligence and has now taken another step into the future thanks to the recent proof that the Unitree company has made for its G1 humanoid robot.
Why are results so important? Basically, this model has achieved something that even the Figure 02 robots from OpenAI, Electric Atlas from Boston Dynamics, and Digit from Agility Robotics have not been able to do.

The robot that defies temperatures of -47.4°C in Xinjiang
The famous G1 robot known for its ability to learn martial arts, do house cleaning and also hold android boxing championships, once again surprises the crowd.
This time it has not only been to demonstrate how incredibly versatile it is, but also how resistant and durable in critical scenarios.
As part of paying tribute to the 2026 Winter Olympicsthe company has shared an interesting video where a G1 makes a 130,000-step walk at an extreme temperature of -47.4°C.
Through a snow-filled site located in the Altay region of Xinjiang (coordinates of 89.75° east longitude and 47.21° north latitude), the robot achieved its objective in an area of 186 x 100 meters to mark the emblem of the aforementioned sporting event China Media Group (CMG) with minute precision.
How did they achieve it? In itself, the material that makes up the android is resistant, but the engineers had to make modifications to the factory model so that it did not freeze in the process.
To do this, they put an orange insulating jacket and plastic protection on the extremities, since they were the points most likely to cool down and cause problems in the system.

How does it work and what are its specifications?
One of the things that has allowed this feat to be carried out is the autonomy of 9,000 mAh in the batterywhich allows it to act for two hours of use.
Another key specification was the addition of Beidou satellite navigation system and specialized algorithms that, together with its 1.27 meter height, 35 kg weight and 360° perception with 3D LIDAR + Depth Camera, have achieved ideal resistance and climate adaptation.
Currently, the G1 has a value of 14,240 dollars (approximately 13,200 euros) and has achieved milestones such as the sale of more than 5,000 units during 2025.
