There is not much left for the official Windows 10 support end, and Google has taken the opportunity to launch a campaign that clearly causes Microsoft.

Some users have reported that a pop-up appears on the main page of Google warning about the end of Windows 10 security updates and directly suggesting change to a chromebook plus.

The announcement message says: «With Windows 10 security updates ending this October, get to the laptop that has never had a virus.»

By clicking on «More information», the Pop-Up redirects to the official Google website entitled «Goodbye, PC. Hi, Chromebook!»

There is a laptop with a “detected virus” alert on a blue background, making direct reference to the classic Windows error.

In addition, the image includes a rotating icon similar to the Windows load indicator, a detail that many interpret as a visual mockery to the Microsoft system.

Interestingly, Google does not mention that Microsoft offers a free security support extension for domestic users for a year, which allows you to use Windows 10 without problems.

Basically, Google’s strategy seeks to take advantage of the operating system to promote its Chromebooks, highlighting the simplicity, security and ease of use of its devices against Windows 10.
