The business news of the day comes mainly from the end of the acceptance period for BBVA’s hostile takeover bid for Banco Sabadell, an operation that began in May of last year. The question is whether BBVA will reach 50% acceptance by Sabadell shareholders. If this percentage is not reached, it could launch a second takeover bid.
At the moment, BBVA offers one share of its own in exchange for 4.8376 shares of Banco Sabadell. The takeover premium closed yesterday, Thursday, at 2.11%.
