In 2025, sOnly 2% of the more than 21,000 companies evaluated by CDP achieved this distinction, awarded to the cocompany for its transparency and performance in climate change.
Since 2017, Naturgy has reduced its direct greenhouse gas emissions by 44% and has reduced the intensity of COâ‚‚ in electricity generation by 40%aligning with the objectives of the Paris Agreement. This recognition endorses the resilience of Naturgy’s business model through the commitment to renewable gas and electricity energies and energy efficiency.

The Sustainability Plan 2025‒27 of Naturgy, integrated into the corporate strategycontemplates more than 70 environmental, social and governance objectives. In addition, the company annually publishes its externally verified carbon footprint and integrates TCFD recommendations to ensure transparency in climate risk management.
Commitment to sustainability
Naturgy continues toadvancing ESG after the entry into force of the European Sustainability Information Standards (NEIS). In terms of the environment, The company reduced its carbon footprint by 27% in 2024 for the three scopes with respect to the base year 2017.
Furthermore, during the first six months of the year, The company made operational investments amounting to 900 million euros aimed, fundamentally, at the development of renewable energies and the reinforcement of their networks, which are key to promoting the energy transition. This investment has allowed the installed renewable capacity to increase to 7.7 GW after the entry into operation of new facilities in ESpain, Australia and the United States. In addition, it plans to continue increasing its renewable weight in the energy mix, promoting biomethane and innovative storage solutions.
