Google is working in a function to detect bank scams, and notify the user in time, before making an error with a computer pirate, although for this a series of conditions must be met.
Basically, the system will be attentive when the user is sharing their screen during a call, with an unknown telephone number, and with an open bank application in the foreground.
According to Android Authority, Google works in a function to detect fraudulent calls of computer pirates posing as bank representatives.
Basically these types of scams consist of when a scammer passes through a bank representative, then states that he needs remote access to the user’s mobile through a software to share screen, and from there the scammer invites the victims to open the application of their bank to solve a problem. And, as you imagine, later the bank account is empty.
Basically Google, what you will do, will be to detect the scams and see if these requirements are met: that someone calls you but is not on your contact list, that you ask for the use of a screen sharing application, and at the same time open a bank application in the foreground to enter the information.
When the conditions are met, Google will warn you that it could be a scam, probably, giving you the option to block the number directly and to finish the call.
As they comment, Google could maintain a list of bank applications in mind, which would be supervised over time.
The function could be available to all users of the Google Play Services, and perhaps it is not linked to the operating system update.
