Google is working for your Chrome browser in a feature that will make it easy for us to use it when we change the country, for example, when we are traveling.

Specifically, they are testing the function called «Dynamic Country Profile», which has been seen in a preliminary version and promises to make the browser feel more aware of the place where you are.

To understand it, today, the browser Chrome Set your country during the first installation and keep it fixed.

With this new characteristic, The browser will automatically check and update your country every time you open it. That is, if you are traveling to another country, Chrome will detect it and can adapt some functions to that new location.

This new feature is part of a more broad project called «regional capacities», whose goal is for Chrome to behave differently according to your location.

This could end up affecting predetermined search engines or specific adjustments per country.

It is not clear if this function is designed directly as a response to regulations such as Digital Markets Law of the European Union.

Be that as it may, with this type of change, Chrome will be more agile when adapting to different geographical contexts, at the same time fulfilling the legislation in force in each of them.
