In full sustained growth of Ethereum and at a time when the decentralized network that directs the financial improvement efforts for web3 users, the developers of the Ethereum Foundation will concentrate efforts in the privacy of the protocol.

The Foundation published a road map to reinforce privacy, with the intention of being a «main characteristic in the application layer» and in the infrastructure of the decentralized network.

According to the document, without solid privacy, Ethereum runs the risk of becoming a surveillance platform instead of freedom. «A system without privacy will push the institutions and users to another part, undermining the mission itself that Ethereum created,» the developers point out.

«If Ethereum fails to generate privacy, it does not protect the people who depend on it,» they warned.

To raise privacy, the Privacy and Scaling Explorates (PSE) team becomes Ethereum privacy administrators. His mission, as they indicate, is «to meet Ethereum’s privacy objectives» and, at the same time, Support the necessary changes in the main layer of the protocol. The plan, according to the Ethereum Foundation, is structured on three clues:

  • The first, private writings, seeks that chain actions such as transfers or votes can be made privately with the same cost and fluidity as public operations.
  • The second, private readings, aims for users to consult information in Ethereum without exposing identity or intention, reinforcing privacy at the network level.
  • The third, private test, suggests that the generation and verification of tests is private, fast and accessible, lor that would allow data portability and verification of origin both inside and outside the chain.

The short -term initiatives include the development of tools for private transfers, reports on privacy, institutional privacy work groups in Defi and private computing protocols.

The document emphasizes that the team will work in collaboration with developers and institutions interested in applying these solutions. Reports, open working groups and participation in community forums and events are planned. The monitoring will be done through public metrics and feedback.

The proposal is part of the broader privacy discussion in Ethereum, in which Vitalik Butein also participates. In April of this year, the co -founder of the protocol presented a roadmap focused on private payments, partial anonymity on applications, protection of RPC consultations and privacy at the network level, reported cryptootics.

That initiative pointed to light solutions in consensus changes and complements the strategy now published by the Foundation.

With this plan, Ethereum seeks to ensure that privacy is a central part of its evolution and institutional and retail adoption. Privacy administrators reiterated that they invite developers and projects to join the effort and to provide criticism or proposals to improve the road map.

The Ethereum Foundation is a non -profit organization that supports the development and expansion of the Ethereum ecosystem. His work focuses on financing research, infrastructure and education projects, in addition to coordinating initiatives that strengthen the network and its community.
