We see more and more life applications with functionalities based on artificial intelligence, and after Gemini arrives at certain popular services such as Gmail, the next one who hugs it will be Google Calendar.
Google Calendar is one of those applications where you thought that artificial intelligence could not have any hole, but those of Mountain View have found it, since they are already integrating different functions of Gemini AI in it.
Google is testing Gemini AI’s integration through the Workspace Labs program, and therefore is only coming for a small group of users.
What will change in Google Calendar with this integration It is a new side panel for Gemini in the application.
This appears as a new gemini bright button on the side of the Google Calendar task selector in the web user interface.
When activating, Gemini’s side bar will appear on the right side of the screen with the pertinent message field and certain suggestions.
From there you can ask the AI about your agenda of the day, when the next meeting will be held or how many appointments you have in the day.
Best of all, Is that AI can help you create unique or recurring eventsso you can manage everything much faster.
This could also have other functions in the future such as the possibility of writing emails requesting to reprogram an appointment or summarize certain interesting statistics on the latest Google Calendar events.
At the moment this Gemini integration in Google Calendar is in tests, and it remains to be seen if you will reach all users soon.
