The investor, who claims to have previously donated 1 million dollars to the Team Water campaign of the YouTuber Mrbeast, was later attracted to a false WhatsApp chat with alleged billionaires and celebrities, believing to participate in a secret and lucrative investment in a new coinbase cryptocurrency. In his message posted in X, Bergman emphasizes that the first collection call was authentic, but the scammers subsequently intercepted communication, invited him to a trip to Africa and join a WhatsApp group.
