Mow advised migrating recurring payments from Dolphin Card to another card to avoid interruptions.
The company JAN3 suspended all Dolphin Cards, as reported by its CEO, Samson Mow, in a recent publication. These rechargeable virtual cards, which do not require KYC (Know Your Customer, in English) requirements, are managed from Aqua, a wallet developed by the company itself.
Mow explained that The decision was due to an unexpected notification from the supplier associated with JAN3: «We have just received a notice from our supplier that all Dolphin Cards have been suspended. It was something abrupt and unexpected. “We are very sorry for this interruption,” he wrote.
The manager assured that user funds are safe and that all participants in the beta program will receive a refund. He added that the team is working with the supplier to define procedures, and that Communications regarding refunds will be sent by email from the official JAN3 accounts.
It also recommended users who have recurring payments associated with the Dolphin Card migrate those subscriptions to another card to avoid interruptions.
The company indicated that it is already evaluating options to find a new supplier and restore service «as soon as possible.»
The Dolphin Card, as reported by NoticiasVE, is promoted as an alternative to connect the Bitcoin network with the traditional financial system. Its objective is to make it easier for users to spend their BTC in services and businesses that only accept conventional cards, thus reducing the gap that still exists between the use of bitcoin as a store of value and its adoption as a means of payment.
