In this sense, manual trades combine technical knowledge with practical skills that are acquired with experience and, of course, over the years.

In addition to the jobs already mentioned, there are many other professions that have characteristics that make their complete automation difficult and that AI will hardly be able to replace.

Doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals perform tasks that go far beyond analyzing clinical data.

For example, direct interaction with patients, the ability to interpret symptoms, and making decisions in delicate situations mean that their work remains highly dependent on human judgment.

The constant adaptation to construction conditions and the need to solve practical problems in the field mean that this type of work remains difficult to fully automate.

Industrial maintenance technicians

Modern industries depend on machinery that requires constant monitoring and maintenance. Specialized technicians must diagnose faults, repair components and ensure the correct operation of systems.

For this reason, this type of work combines technical knowledge with practical experience in physical environments, something that is difficult to replicate using artificial intelligence.

The future of work could be more human than it seems

For decades, education and the labor market encouraged professions based on intellectual knowledge over manual trades.

Studying a university degree was considered the safest path to a professional future. However, the development of artificial intelligence is posing an interesting paradox.
