Regarding fixed income, hiring in the secondary market accumulated a volume of 43,873 million euros until May, which represents an increase of 7.9% compared to the same period of the previous year. In May, 8,756 million euros were negotiated for fixed income, 6.2% less than in May 2024, but 33.7% more than in April of this year.
The number of negotiations in the secondary market was 7,614 operations between January and May, which represents a 26% decrease compared to the same period of the previous year. In May, 1,385 negotiations were carried out, 37.2% less than in May 2024, but 25.7% more than in April.
In the primary fixed income market, the volume admitted to negotiation was 192,727 million euros between January and May 2025, which represents a 19.5% increase compared to the same period of the previous year.
In the derivative market, the accumulated negotiation of futures contracts on IBEX 35 increased 5.3% year -on -year, with 1,943 contracts in the period and a volume of 44,962 million euros.
