Chromebooks are focused on a very particular market niche, and the truth is that they are really efficient, but they usually have certain functions below other types of standard computers on the market.

However, the latest feature that has been released in the Chromebook You’re going to love it, and it’s a new accessibility feature called Face Control.

As its name suggests, it allows Chromebook users control the cursor and perform tasks using head movements and facial gestures.

It is being rolled out as part of the M132 ChromeOS update and is more intended for people with motor disabilities, although anyone can end up activating it.

This has been achieved thanks to artificial intelligence, since Face Control It is capable of mapping 478 facial points in real time, allowing gestures to control the cursor and also execute actions without having a keyboard or mouse. According to Google itself, Face Control supports up to 18 gestures.

Those from Mountain View point out that the birth of Face Control is due to all the comments from the user community, which allowed them to even increase the final version to up to 18 gestures.

As can be seen in the video shared by Google itself, Face Control seems to work perfectly, You can even perform the action of sending an email with just head movements and facial gestures.

For this feature, Google is recommending a Chromebook with at least 8GB of RAM for it to work optimally, so it remains to be seen whether or not older or lower-spec models can properly utilize this interesting feature.

Face Control can allow people with mobility issues to interact with technology more easily.

Google notes that this feature may not only apply to students or people with mobility issues, but could be useful for general users looking for hands-free solutions.
