Renfe has just launched a new website which allows you to follow the exact position of Cercanías and Rodalies trains live to check if they run on time or if they are delayed.

The website allows you to select the corresponding Cercanías hub and follow the line that interests you, showing the different trains in real time.

By clicking on each one, you can find out if it is moving or parked, and the expected time of its next stop.

Although the estimated arrival time already appears on the platforms, this tool helps to have an exact location of the Cercanías and Rodalies trains on the map.

Furthermore, to the surprise of many, Renfe has enabled integration with third-party services, which will allow applications such as Google Maps or Waze to take advantage of this information in the future.

Through the map we will not only see if the trains are moving or parked, but also their status using colors:

Green: the train is on time or less than 3 minutes late.

Orange: delays between 3 and 5 minutes.

Red: delays greater than 5 minutes.

Renfe clarifies that the position is obtained through devices installed in the units themselves, although in areas such as tunnels the signal may be lost. To complete the information, Data from Adif beacons and the traveler information systems present at the stations are also integrated..

The company plans to continue expanding the platform. Looking ahead to the first half of 2026, wants to add data on public bicycles and, later, integrate real-time information from medium and long-distance trains to facilitate planning.
