Huawei has been ahead of everyone with the first triptych smart mobile phone on the market, and with it obtaining a lot of reservations from curious and technology lovers.
Samsung could be the next company to enter this new market for triptych smartphones, as a patent attests.
This has been seen in a patent registered in the United States Patent and Trademark Office, curiously in a 25-page technical document that was presented in July 2021, but that has not been published until November 2024.
Basically we are talking about the design of a future device Samsung with a flexible folding screen that would be characterized by several folds.
This design would use a specialized layer with positioned openings that make folding easier and reduce strain on the screen.
The support plates and adhesive layers are made of durable materials such as stainless steel or glass to add stability and help the display remain reliable.
Additionally, to reduce reflections, the screen panel would include an anti-reflective layer made of synthetic resin.
This device would feature layers under the screen, including a barrier layer to prevent foreign substances from damaging the screen.
It is simply a patent, but given where the market is going, and the objective that Samsung has regarding foldable smart devices, we will soon know something about it.
