Telefónica and the I’LL TAKE have signed a framework agreement so that six of their centers Development and Innovation located in Spain are attached to NATO Defense Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic. These spaces join the INTA El Pardo Campus (National Institute of Aerospace Technology), being the only Spanish reference in this network.

Los Telefónica centers They are: the laboratory The ThinX de Telephonics y and TEFQCIboth located in Telefónica District in Madrid; the two buildings dedicated to Technology and Innovation in Alcobendas in the north of Madridhe Telefónica Tech Innovation Center and Laboratory in Málaga and the cybersecurity center specialized in Industry 4.0 (C4IN) that Telefónica Tech has in León.

In the short term, the objective of this alliance is that DIANA can count on the Telefónica experience and facilities to develop your technological solutionswith a focus on next-generation networks, quantum technology, the Internet of Things (IoT) and cybersecurity. In the long term, this agreement seeks knowledge exchange between the 150 companies participating in the accelerator to validate concepts, technologies and use cases in the defense field worldwide.

TEFQCIthe experimental network of Telefónica quantum communications in Madridis the main asset of Center of Excellence in quantum technologies to reinforce the security of networks and services through QKD solutions (Quantum Key Distribution). It is also being used as the basis for the future quantum internet, identifying the most suitable equipment, processes and tools. TEFQCI It is a space of open collaboration with public and private organizations from which Telefónica leads the development of communications and quantum technologies and from which tests have already been carried out to protect communications in critical infrastructures, data centers and business communications, as well as IoT devicessuch as smart gas, water or electricity meters, ensuring both the provision of remote eSIMs such as the consumption data sent. Also addressed in this center initiatives for the evolution to Quantum-Safe networks and servicesimplementing an additional layer of security using post-quantum encryption (PQC) algorithms that cannot be decrypted by future attacks. This applies to the protection of 5G networks and current communications carried out through quantum computing.

The ThinX is he Telefónica Tech’s IoT, Big Data, Cybersecurity and Cloud technology laboratorydesigned so that clients, partners and institutions can co-create and simulate the operation in real conditions of any IoT project before its mass implementation. Opened in 2017, in a short time it has become one of the most advanced and best-equipped IoT environments in the worldwith access to the latest generation radio and LPWA technology (low-power wide area networks designed for the Internet of Things).

He Telefónica Tech Innovation Center and Laboratory in Malaga has 60 workers to develop leading international solutions in the fields of AI, IoT, Cloud and Big Datacounting on cybersecurity as a transversal element in all its products and services.

He Technology and Innovation Center in Alcobendas and Tovarlocated in the north of Madridmake up a space of more than 3,000 square meters with a complete miniaturization of the networkboth fixed and mobile, which works completely autonomously. Advances and resources required to test all services before they are launched on the market using a replica of the real network.

He Telefónica Tech C4IN Cybersecurity Center it’s a Cybersecurity Center specialized in Industry 4.0 located in León. Its objective is to provide companies with the best security services and develop specific and innovative solutions and products in this field. They are currently working in this space 30 experts.

DIANA it’s a dual-use innovation accelerator program that collaborates with innovative entities that develop commercial and defense solutions for problems that affect the entire Alliance. DIANA has successfully created a transatlantic ecosystem of interconnected test centers, accelerators, events and educational activities that support dual-use technological innovation – for civil and defense purposes – for Alliance countries. This ecosystem It was launched in 2023 and currently collaborates with more than 20 affiliated accelerator organizations and more than 200 testing centers.

He DIANA professional team is formed by professionals and expertsboth military and civilian, who work from the organization headquarters in London (United Kingdom) and in the regional offices located in Tallinn (Estonia) and Halifax (Canada).
