
Telefónica has started negotiations with the unions to establish the conditions of the Employment Regulation Files (ERE) that will impact several of its subsidiaries, including Telefónica Global Solutions, Telefónica Innovación Digital, Telefónica SA and Movistar+. In this last case, the initial impact of the collective dismissal process has been reduced by 18%, going from 297 to 245 exits.
The four companies mentioned represent 16.5% of the total planned exits in seven Telefónica subsidiaries, with a total of 996 of the 6,036 proposed exits. In the case of Movistar+, the impact has been reduced to 245 departures.
According to information provided by UGT and CCOO, the conditions proposed by Telefónica for the ERE in Movistar+ affect employees born in 1970 and earlier, with at least 15 years of seniority in the company. Both unions have expressed their discontent with the economic proposals, requesting compensation of 68% of the regulatory salary up to age 63 and 38% up to age 65.
Regarding the proposals for Telefónica Global Solutions, Telefónica Digital Innovation and Telefónica SA, It has been pointed out that the initial proposal is far from reaching an agreement. A compensation of 65% of the regulatory salary is proposed for employees born in 1970, 1969 and earlier up to the age of 63, and 35% up to the age of 65, with a minimum of 15 years of service in the company. In addition, social benefits similar to previous exit plans will be offered, including health policies with more favorable conditions.
UGT and CCOO have highlighted the importance of voluntariness in these ERE, as well as the need for economic and social conditions to be at least equivalent to those established in previous agreements. Unions have stressed the importance of maintaining the conditions of the agreed ‘Social Framework’.
The negotiations initiated in the subsidiaries under the Related Companies Agreement (CEV) They represent 83.5% of the total proposed departures. The unions present (UGT, CCOO and Sumados-Fetico) rejected the company’s first proposal, which offered compensation of up to 68% of the regulatory salary.
In the case of employees born between 1969 and 1971, a compensation of 68% of the regulatory salary is proposed until age 63 and 38% until age 65. For those born between 1965 and 1968, the proposal is 62% until age 63 and 34% until age 65, while for those born in 1964 and earlier, 52% is proposed until age 65. 63 years and 34% up to 65.
The impact of the ERE is distributed as follows in the seven companies: 3,649 people in Telefónica de España, 1,124 in Telefónica Móviles, 267 in Telefónica Soluciones, 245 in Movistar+, 140 in Telefónica Global Solutions, 233 in Telefónica Innovación Digital and 378 in Telefónica SA These figures represent a percentage of departures over the total workforce of each subsidiary.
