Apple moves like a snail in the field of artificial intelligence, so the competition takes advantage of it to get ahead, in their own devices. Google’s AI, Gemini, now has an app for the iPhone.

Gemini is Google’s artificial intelligence that competes with ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, and other generative AI in chatbot form.

Although Gemini was already available on the iPhone for a long time, through the Google app itself, or the browser, now you get your own app to more easily access Google’s AI “in a more fluid way,” according to the press release.

What you can do with the Gemini app for iOS

If you install this app on your iPhone, You will be able to chat with Gemini via text, or using your own voicethanks to Gemini Live. It’s available in more than ten languages, and you can choose ten different voices for Gemini.

Google assures that can be used to study or learn things. It is possible to explore any topic with real-life examples, or by uploading images. It can also provide you with personalized, step-by-step guidance tailored to the way you learn.

With Gemini you can also generate free images from textusing Image 3, Google’s most powerful model to date.

Finally, Gemini connects seamlessly with Google apps. Through Extensions, Gemini can find and show you information of interest from the Google tools you use every day, such as YouTube, Google Maps, Gmail, Calendar and others, all within the same conversation.

Gemini already does on the iPhone what Apple Intelligence dreams of doing in a few months. It’s a bit humiliating for Tim Cook’s company, but it’s the price to pay for having entered AI so late.

You can now download Gemini, Google’s AI, for iOSthrough the App Store. Of course, it is also available for Android.
