This year has been a revolution for Apple with the arrival of its artificial intelligence package known as Apple Intelligence, but those from Cupertino have big plans for 2025.
Tim Cook’s company will continue working on bringing AI to new spaces, although first it will have to make Apple Intelligence available in other languages such as Spanish, Chinese, German or French. The stable version will arrive in Spain in April 2025.
Apple is working on other projects such as launch of a range of home devices with a robotic arm with a screen inspired by the iPad. The company could also be preparing the launch of a more affordable iPhone.
Apple will be more demanding with sales figures in 2025
The technology giant hopes that the arrival of Apple Intelligence to all compatible devices will be the impetus to multiply sales of its iPhone and Mac. Tim Cook’s company has arrived late in the race to dominate AI, but it could overtake its rivals in 2025, according to Gene Munster, director of Deepwater Asset Management, for Business Insider.
Those from Cupertino have high expectations with iPhone 16 sales when the stable version of Apple Intelligence arrives in new countries, but remains optimistic with the launch of the iPhone 17 series.
Market analysts have estimated that Apple could produce more than 240 million iPhones in 2025, a figure that would break its annual record. Sales forecasts are optimistic, but the company still needs to solve a major problem: make Apple Intelligence compatible in China as it will be in the European Union.
Apple could consolidate its presence in the mixed reality sector with the arrival of more affordable Vision Pro with which to compete with Samsung and Meta. The current model is priced at $3,500 with low demand.
The iPhone company will also have to face one of its biggest problems for next year: Donald Trump has threatened to impose tariffs of up to 60% on Chinese products as soon as he takes office in January 2025.
95% of the iPhones, AirPods, Macs and iPads it produces pass through China at some point in the manufacturing process. Apple would have to adjust its entire production line or increase the price of its devices to take on Trump’s tariffs.
