From the controversial Windows Recall announcement, Microsoft has been making many changes to this artificial intelligence -based tool, which basically telegraphs everything we do in front of the computer.
In these last updates they have been including new functions that are in favor of the user’s privacy, but also as many that are beginning to be tested in the preliminary versions of the operating system.
Microsoft is preparing a series of novelty focused on privacy, but also on the usability and control of personal data in Windows Recall.
Here we refer to the New more intuitive home page, to export data for greater legal control and compliance, and a function to restore Windows Recall from scratch.
Regarding A new home pagethis redesign groups the recent activities and the content most used by the user.
The date includes the date and a search bar enhanced by artificial intelligence to explore the history.
Here the user can navigate the entire timeline through a left side panel that also gives access to the adjustments.
Likewise, it will be possible to interact with the captures of each application from the home page, being able to open, copy or delete.
Another novelty is the export of data for greater controldesigned to comply with the Digital Markets Law in Europe.
When configuring Windows Recall, the user will receive a unique code that will decipher the captures and share them with other applications or websites.
From the new advanced adjustments you can choose the options of exporting past captures or exporting captures in real time from that moment.
Finally, the other new function It is the option to completely restore Windows Recall. This will allow to erase both captures and their configuration.
This can be used to solve technical problems and for those who want to completely disable recall after activating it.
For now, all these options are only available for Insider program users with Copilot+devices, and it is unknown when the rest of the users with Windows 11 compatible equipment will arrive.
