Education on technical topics about decentralized technology is one of its objectives.

They collaborate with universities, communities and startups “to translate Ethereum into solutions.”
The adoption of cryptocurrencies such as ether (ETH) in Mexico ceased to be a merely speculative phenomenon and became an ecosystem of technical development and tangible financial solutions.
According to Ana Belén González, founder of Ethereum México, the country’s growth in this sector does not respond to a market imposition, but rather to grassroots work aimed at solving structural problems.
«Adoption is not pushed, it is built,» González said in statements to NoticiasVE. He highlighted that the organization’s approach focuses on education and creating useful infrastructure for the average citizen.
Mexico has established itself as a relevant pole in Latin America, ranking 23rd in Chainalysis’ global cryptocurrency adoption index. With transactional volumes exceeding $71.2 billion in digital assets, the current challenge lies in channeling that flow into tools that promote financial sovereignty and technological entrepreneurship. This, beyond simple exchange or speculationsays González.
The enthusiast said that The creation of Ethereum Mexico, in 2022, arose from the need to unify efforts scattered throughout the country. Although there was already interest and technical talent, he assures that «there was a lack of a structure that would go deeper» into the network created by Vitalik Buterin in 2013 as a global infrastructure.
González explains that the catalyst for this step was understanding that «Mexico already had real use cases.» But it lacked a consistent presence both online and in-person that connected developers to the international ecosystem.
As founder, she reports that Ethereum Mexico was born to build accessible educationsupport for creators and bridges with the global ecosystem. «The vision was always clear: to function as a talent incubator and demonstrate to the world the construction capacity that the country has,» he says.
Unlike other technology centers, it maintains that The Mexican developer is distinguished by a practical and resilient mentalityaimed at solving problems such as expensive payments, slow processes and economic informality.

Financial education against fraud in Mexico
One of the biggest obstacles to the expansion of digital assets in Mexico is the proliferation of scams. To combat this, Ethereum Mexico is committed to “radical honesty.”
This means that, instead of simplifying risks or incentivizing quick decisions, they focus on responsibility, self-custody and critical thinking.
The founder of the organization is emphatic when stating that, if the user does not understand the technology, does not adopt her.
That is why we work from everyday cases: payments, remittances, savings, entrepreneurship, but we have also explained from more technical concepts and the different protocols so that people go beyond the ‘user’ side, but also can go deeper and subsequently get a job in blockchain technology, collaborate with us, make an application or more.

Activities also include collaborations with universities, local communities and startups.
The idea is to translate Ethereum into concrete solutions: cheaper payments, access to digital financial tools, remote employment and new forms of economic organization. The goal is not to «use Ethereum», but improve daily life with open technology.
To sustain this long-term growth, González identifies three fundamental pillars. These are continuing education, early funding for developers, and support after programming events or hackathons.
As he sees it, “education is the best tool against fraud.” «And as a community we prefer to grow more slowly, but with confidence. It is important to first invest time in financial education, cybersecurity education and crypto security education,” he says.

Three key areas where Ethereum will generate greater value
When analyzing the future of the market in Mexico, the specialist identifies three key areas where Ethereum will generate greater value.
First of all, it highlights payments and remittances, where, according to González, Cost reduction generates an immediate benefit.
Secondly, the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector appears focused on savings, especially through the use of stablecoins that offer predictability against inflation.
This is not an isolated situation. NoticiasVE has reported that in Mexico the adoption of stablecoins anchored to the dollar, such as USD Tether (Tether) and USD Coin (USDC), is gaining strength as a lifeline against peso volatility.
In figures, these stablecoins represented 36% of cryptoasset purchases during the first half of 2025. Likewise, in the Aztec country, functions were enabled to convert stablecoins directly into local currency, in order to send them to local bank accounts.
Thirdly, applications that combine artificial intelligence (AI) and tokenization of real-world assets stand out. For González, these will be key components to connect global capital with the digital environment.
For the close of this year, the objective of the Ethereum Mexico organization is not measured solely in positions in an adoption ranking, but in the solidity of their projects.
González states that the goal «is to close the cycle with more developers working on real products» and more companies understanding Ethereum as a network infrastructure.
For her, if the projects built in the country manage to grow and generate employment, «it will be considered a true success» for the local ecosystem.
Through this educational and technical approach, Mexico seeks to climb steps in global adoption as a consequence of real and useful use. The founder of Ethereum México concludes that the prioritized path is that of user trust and practical utility. This, consolidating an organic growth model for the Mexican digital economy in the years to come.
«Adoption is not pushed, it is built. Our focus is on technical education, support for buildersalliances with universities and collaboration with companies that already operate in the real world,» he emphasizes.
«If Mexico rises in the adoption ranking it will be a consequence of something more important: real use, useful products and user trust. That is the path that we are prioritizing from Ethereum Mexico,” concludes Ana Belén González.
