Microsoft Copilot catches up with ChatGPT again with an update which significantly improves its memory management and adds several user-requested features.

One of the main novelties of Copilot is advanced memorywhich allows the assistant to remember more relevant information from past conversations. Until now, Copilot’s memory was limited compared to ChatGPT, which can refer to virtually all previous chats. With this update, Microsoft has made Copilot memory smarter and more flexible.

Saved details can be managed from the settings, and users can even indicate what information they want to keep or delete, protecting their privacy.

Another notable feature is the possibility of anchoring conversationsavoiding having to search through numerous chats. This way, users can keep their most important conversations always visible at the top of the list. Microsoft clarifies that this feature is being rolled out gradually, so its availability may vary.

Copilot also supports more than 10,240 characters in a single entry. If long text is pasted, the application automatically converts it to a text file, similar to Claude’s behavior. In the web version, users can also upload long conversations, save them to a page, and work with them as standalone items.

The update includes important improvements to macOS and iOS. In macOS, Copilot adds new features such as podcasts, connectors, search mode in the composer, reading aloud, smarter notifications, and the ability to export content to PDF, Word, PowerPoint or Excelsynchronizing the experience with the Windows version.

On iOS, Added a Copilot widget available in two sizeswhich allows you to quickly access the main wizard actions from the home screen.

Microsoft explains that these improvements seek to make Copilot more intuitive and useful for users, regardless of the device or platform they use.
