Nvidia and Advanced Micro Devices will yield to the US government a part of the income from certain chips sold in China after an agreement with the White House unprecedented, according to information advanced by Financial Times.
In exchange for 15% of revenue from chips saleboth manufacturers will receive export licenses to sell the chips H20 of nvidia and MI308 of AMD in China, according to the FT.
The agreement occurs at a time when President Donald Trump’s tariffs continue to have an impact on the world economy, which underlines the disposition of the White House to establish exceptions as a negotiation tool.
