Paolo Ardoino announces Tether advances in decoding brain signals

Paolo Ardoino, CEO of the company behind the largest stablecoin on the planet, announced this March 10 new advances from the Tether EVO technological division in the field of speech decoding using neural signals.

Through a publication on his X account, the manager detailed how the company is establishing technical standards for translating brain impulses directly to text using brain-computer interfaces (BCI) augmented with artificial intelligence.

This development is based on the performance of the firm’s engineers during the Global Brain-Computer Interface Challenge. In this high-level competition, the Tether EVO team got fourth place in the world by demonstrating a system capable of processing 256 channels of raw neural activity into coherent written language. He competed against elite scientific institutions.

The technology presented uses electrocorticography (ECoG) recordings, a method that captures electrical activity directly from the surface of the cerebral cortex.
