Razer has demonstrated at CES 2025 why it is one of the leading brands in the gaming world by presenting a renewed version of its flagship laptop, the Razer Blade 16.

This new model not only opts for a slimmer design, but also incorporates a powerful combination of hardware that promises to satisfy the most demanding players.

The new Blade 16 has reduced its thickness by more than 30% compared to its predecessor. At just 14.9 mm on the front and 17.4 mm on the back, the laptop is among the most stylish on the gaming market, rivaling even devices like Apple’s MacBook Pro M4.

Despite being thinner, Razer has managed to increase the keyboard’s key travel from 1mm to 1.5mm, thus improving the typing experience without compromising portability.

In addition, the chassis, although thinner, is slightly deeper than in the 2024 modelwith a measurement of 250.5 mm compared to the previous 244 mm. This change allows you to optimize internal airflow and support updated hardware without sacrificing thermal efficiency, thanks to a new thermal gel designed to cover more interior surface.

The Blade 16 2025 marks an important milestone by incorporating an AMD processor for the first time in this line of laptops. Equipped with a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, combined with an Nvidia GPU Next-generation, this model promises superior performance in both games and advanced productivity tasks.

In tests carried out by The Verge In other similar devices, AMD chips offered longer life in non-gaming tasks and generated less heat, which could translate into a more comfortable experience for users.

On the other hand, The 240 Hz OLED display, a feature that stood out on the previous model, remains the standardoffering great visual quality with vibrant colors and ultra-fast response times.

In addition, the sound system has received an update, going from four to six speakers for more immersive audio, and they have also integrated a Copilot key, which improves inclusion with smart assistants and productivity functions based on artificial intelligence.

Regarding the battery, The Blade 16 includes a 90 Wh unit, so it can be charged up to 80% in just 45 minutes thanks to its fast charging technology. Although the capacity is lower than the previous version (95.2 Wh), the inclusion of the Ryzen AI 9 processor promises an improvement in energy efficiency.

At the moment, it is only known that the Razer Blade 16 will be available in the first quarter of 2025although the company has not yet revealed its official price. Taking into account the characteristics of this model and the history of the brand, it most likely will not be cheap.
