Negatively, Colonial represents the largest falls, -2.47%, followed by MERLIN Properties and Mapfre, which register a penalty between 0.8% and 0.6%, respectively. Next Monday the three companies will begin trading at 5.33 euros, 12.33 euros and 4.2560 euros, respectively.

Among the most traded securities, Banco Santander closes with advances of more than 1.8%, up to 10.2520 euros, BBVA closes at 20.38 euros after rising 1.6%, Iberdrola advances 0.8% while Inditex titles close in tables and above 56.34 euros.

In the continuous market, strong increases of more than 63% for Soltec, which closes the session at 0.6440 euros. Ezentis Group gained 19% while Amper shares closed at 0.1870 euros, after rising more than 10.3% in the session. On the negative side, Coca-Cola and Pescanova are placed at the bottom of the table with corrections that exceed 3% at closing.

This January, investors will have to sharpen their aim to find the opportunities offered by the Stock Market for 2026. In this sense, fundamental analysts see an upward potential of more than 20% in seven values ​​​​in the index, with Cellnex, Grifols and Puig Brands leading all of them. Of course, in up to 12 other values, shareholders expect falls in the medium and long term. Furthermore, in a month of January that will arrive loaded with dividends on the Ibex 35, with the energy sector leading the way.

In fact, today was the last day on which Redeia (REE) shares were traded with the right to collect the dividend of 0.20 euros per share that will be paid on January 7.

In the continuous market, the Governing Company of the stock exchanges, BME, has announced the delisting of Grupo Catalana Occidente as of January 5. The movement occurs after Inocsa, the vehicle of the Serra family, has carried out the forced sale of those shares of the Group that did not participate in the recent takeover bid to exclude the insurer.

On the macro side, in this first session of the year the Manufacturing PMIs of Spain, Germany, the Eurozone, the United Kingdom and the United States for the month of December were published. Among the most notable data, the Spanish PMI fell to 49.60 points in December from the previous 51.50, while that of the Eurozone fell to 48.8 in December. In the United States, the PMI produced by the S&P 500 global manufacturing sector fell to 51.8 in December.

In addition, the monetary supply figures for the eurozone have been released, which rose 3.0% in November.

Looking ahead to future sessions, unemployment figures in Spain and the Eurozone Sentix index will be published next Monday. In addition, the Spanish Treasury has announced a bond issue next Thursday, one of them linked to inflation, with maturities in 2030, 2033 and 2043 with coupons of 2.70%, 3% and 3.45%, respectively.

In the raw materials market, the Brent oil future is trading with drops of 1.15%, above $60.15, while West Texas fell 1.2%, to $56.74. Today we learned that OPEC + will probably maintain constant oil production at its meeting on Sunday, as several delegates of the organization confirmed this Friday, despite the strong political tension between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, due to Yemen.

Sunday’s meeting of eight members of OPEC+, which pumps about half of the world’s oil, is convened after oil prices fell more than 18% in 2025 – their steepest decline since 2020 – amid growing concerns about excess supply.

Gold and Silver, after registering their best annual performance since 1979 last year with a rise of 64%, driven by factors such as the impact of rate cuts in the US, tariff tensions and solid demand from ETFs and central banks, continue to rise this Friday. Gold increased 0.6% and paid 4,340 dollars per ounce, while Silver stood at 73.27 dollars after having risen 150% in 2025.

In the currency market, the Euro Dollar lost just over 0.13%, above $1.1735, while among cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin rose 1.3%, above $89,207, and Ethereum gained 2.9%, above $3,080.
