EURO STOXX 50 futures rose 34 points, or 0.6%, those of the German DAX index rose 142 points, or 0.6%, and those of the British FTSE 100 rose 29 points, or 0.3%. IBEX 35 futures rose 189.7 points (+1.15%) to 16,653.5 points.

The dollar hit a five-week low, while Asian shares began Thursday’s trading session on a lackluster note, after worse-than-expected economic data cemented expectations that the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates at its meeting next week.

Oil prices rose on Thursday after Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil infrastructure pointed to possible supply constraints and stalled peace talks tempered expectations of a deal restoring the flow of Russian oil to global markets, although weak fundamentals limited gains.
