During the next CES 2026, which will be held in Las Vegas, a multitude of technology companies will present their robotics proposals for the future. One of the main protagonists, almost certainly, will be the South Korean LG.
The company is preparing to introduce its most advanced home robot to date, called CLOiDa model designed to perform a wide range of tasks around the home.
As LG details in a press release, The technical design of this home robot prioritizes dexterity and precision. CLOiD It features two articulated arms, each powered by motors with seven degrees of freedom, allowing multidirectional movements comparable to those of a human arm.
Additionally, each arm is equipped with a five-finger hand that is operated independently, providing the robot with a high level of control to manipulate even delicate objects.
The processor, housed in the robot’s head, acts as its central unit. The hardware integrates a screen, a speaker, a camera and a set of sensors that allow navigation, real-time spatial perception and multimodal interaction with the user.
LG also points out that this new robot supports natural language processing for voice commands and includes features that allow you to respond using physical movementsreinforcing a more natural interaction.
CLOiD incorporates LG’s «affective intelligence» platform, presented by the company a few months ago. Thanks to this system, the robot does not depend solely on predefined commands, but rather it learns from the user’s behavior and adapts its responses over time.
It remains to be seen if LG manages to make that definitive leap in the field of domestic robots, an area in which there is still much to prove. What does seem clear is that, if it finally hits the market, it will be a device within the reach of very few pockets.
