OpenAI has announced the ChatGPT file library releasea new feature of its popular chatbot that automatically saves everything the user uploads so that it remains accessible later, as the tool’s support page explains.
The ChatGPT library can store any type of files, from PDF documents to spreadsheets to images. Thanks to it, it is possible to access this data from other devices, as is the case with cloud storage services such as Google Drive or iCloud.
To recover the files, it is possible to do it directly through prompts or search for them manually through the new library tab located in the ChatGPT sidebar.
This change does not affect images generated through ChatGPT, which will continue to appear in the images tab, a library that already saves this content automatically and has been available since last year.
